Several years ago I found myself immersed in conversation with fellow firefighters on the benefits of working with a seasoned sawyer and attributes of different chain saws.  I know what you must be thinking but believe me - the topic can be riveting to firefighters.

During the conversation, I found myself drifting off in thought and recalling the beaver’s acclaimed  prowess in downing trees.
It occurred to me, without tools - we’re really not all that adept at felling trees.  When you take stock of our natural abilities,
without the use of tools, we’re really not the experts at alot of things.
